A little bit about me

I wanted to start with a bit
about me. My name is Lisa Venman, and I am 21 years old. I am from a small town
on the west coast of Scotland called Kilwinning. Pic of me here for reference x

I have been hill walking since I was quite young with my Mum and Dad. It has always been an enjoyable hobby of mine since then. When I was around 14, I did the West Highland Way with my family and friends. This consisted of walking 96 miles) from Milngavie to Fort William, taking in a huge variety of scenery along the way, from countryside parks to loch-shores and open moorlands to steep mountains. I started the West Highland Way on the 27th of July 2013.

I know what you are all thinking, long time ago, how can you remember anything from then? Well… What I can tell you is, that walking the West Highland Way is an experience of a lifetime, even only if you are walking, its not about that its about the views and scenery, and all the new people that you meet on the way.

This blog will include a variety of information about the West Highland Way, but not only that, I will be discussing the many walks I have taken during lockdown to cure my boredom, I hope you enjoy my blog and this post intrigues you to follow more! Now! I am in no way a pro hill walker or anything, i am just expressing my experience of hill walking and what i gained throughout my time doing it, especially with walking the West Highland Way at such a young age!

I have zero experience at running a blog lol, so this journey may be bumpy in some ways, but bare with me and I promise I will be able to figure it all out throughout and be a master in the art of blogging! I’ll be posting some new content on a weekly basis, so go and give my socials a wee follow, (Instagram and Twitter!)

That means you’ll be the first to know about my new posts!

Stay groovy my dudes, speak soon xo

Ps here is a photo of me my Mum and Dad at the start of the West Highland Way!
